This is a portrait of the late Cynthia Sturgeon, founder of Project Pink'd, a breast cancer nonprofit serving eastern Nebraska and western Iowa. This was painted as a gift for her husband, Dave, in appreciation for all that they both did and that Dave and his staff and volunteers continue to do to help breast cancer survivors, including myself, to thrive...from diagnosis to end of life.
